Registered as a legal person of public utility since 1992, the Revista Militar has had the following management bodies since 2014: General Assembly (President: General José Manuel da Silva Viegas), Supervisory Board (President: Major-General Luís Augusto Sequeira), and the Board of Directors (President: General José Luís Pinto Ramalho), which corresponds to the editorial board, with around 300 members. It is possible to access the digitalised content of Revista Militar electronically since February 2013, using functional search tools, including a constantly updated repository, in which electronic interactivity represents a very useful functional dynamic for any enquiry or curiosity. Founded on the eve of the Regeneration, the Revista Militar has stoically resisted the changes that have taken place since the mid-19th century, maintaining an uncompromising defence of the goals that guided its evolution. Among the wide array of technical, scientific, literary, and military topics, the publication features articles by distinguished contributors, many of whom were among the most prominent figures of their era. Among a wide range of historians, some of them military men by profession, we would like to mention the significant contribution to the development of military history made by Francisco Pedro Celestino Soares (1791-1873), Fortunato José Barreiros (1797-1885), Augusto Ernesto Luís (1799-1869), Baron of Wiederhold, António Feliciano de Castilho (1800-1875), Simão José da Luz Soriano (1802-1891), Cláudio Pereira de Chaby (1818-1905), José Maria Latino Coelho (1825-1891), Raimundo António de Bulhão Pato (1829-1912), José Estêvão de Morais Sarmento (1843-1930), Sebastião Custódio de Sousa Teles (1847-1921), Cristóvão Ayres de Magalhães Sepúlveda (1853-1930), António Marciano Ribeiro da Fonseca (1841-1899), Francisco Marques de Sousa Viterbo (1845/6-1910), Vitoriano José César (1860-1939), José Justino Teixeira Botelho (1864-1956), Belisário Pimenta (1879-1969), Henrique de Campos Ferreira Lima (1882-1949), Carlos Selvagem (pseudonym of Carlos Afonso dos Santos, 1890-1973), Luís Maria da Câmara Pina (1904-1980), Nuno Valdez dos Santos (1930-2011), among other authors that the limited space does not allow us to list here. Although participation from military authors predominates, there has been a consistent effort to encourage the participation of civilian authors throughout the magazine's history.
